Hey friend!
As I was praying the other night, the enemy showed up and begin to whisper lies to me that I knew were not true and not of God. Has this ever happened to you?
He tried to tell me I was alone, that God was not with me, and he tried to tell me I had no hope. He tried to feed me with thoughts of defeat and worry. He chose weapons and used tactics that he thought might just convince me he was right. You see friends, we have a real, live enemy who studies us, knows us, and chooses to attack us in ways he thinks just might work. BUT, in that moment, he forgot who I am and who my God is! So, I quickly reminded him!
I stood up and spoke to him, as if he were standing right there in the room..have you seen War Room? Or read Fervent? If not, I encourage you to do so because you’ll understand just what I did in this moment! I let him know I was on to him and I told him he was not welcome in my home, in my mind, or anywhere near me or my family. I let him know right where he could go and commanded him to go there in Jesus name!
I’m telling you this because I feel so strongly that someone else has been attacked by the enemy and you need to know you are not alone! You need to be reminded that he has no power over you! It’s time you recognize his attacks and call him out for who he is!
We know he is always seeking to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus tells us this in John 10:10…
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
If he was able to convince me, or you of these lies, he would derail us from our purpose, causing us to stray from God. He wants nothing more than to kill us spiritually but I have news for the enemy, I will live, I will not die! I’m standing my ground and friend, you can too!
I choose life more abundantly! Eternal life offered to me by my Father in Heaven! The enemy cannot and will not win. He’s scared to death and he’s trembling because he knows the power we hold!
He knows we were called for such a time as this! He knows God wants to use us in mighty ways! He’s scared of what we are capable of doing with God on our side! He’s trying everything he can before our break through happens! It’s coming and he knows it…do you?
To the lady, mother, wife, and friend who is tired, overwhelmed, and maybe even discouraged, you were called for such a time as this!
To the man, father, husband, and friend who feels weighed down, burdened, and maybe even frustrated, you were called for such a time as this!
To the teen who is worried, scared, and feeling lonely, you were called for such a time as this!
YOU, my friend, were called for such a times as this!
God knew he could trust you through this time. Trust you to uphold his righteousness and trust you to be a witness in this dark world! He knew he could trust you to stand firm in your beliefs, faith, and in his power through the times we are in!
YOU ARE CALLED and YOU ARE CHOSEN!
Just as he placed Esther in the palace for a specific reason and time, he has placed you on this earth for this specific time!
To Esther, the task before her seemed impossible, scary, and at first, she wanted no part of it. BUT, she realized God had chosen her and when she accepted her calling, her purpose was fulfilled.
Esther 4:13-14
Don’t give up now, don’t turn around, don’t allow the weight of this world, and problems around you to stop you from reaching your reward, from fulfilling your purpose! Just a little while longer friend, and he will wipe away your tears! He will say, well done, thou good and faithful servant! Stay faithful! Stay humble! Stay fruitful! Stay strong!
You were called for such a time as this!
