Hey friends! I hope you had a good weekend! I wanted to share a thought the Lord laid on my heart this weekend and pray it blesses and encourages you as you start another week!
The present time we live in is unlike any other. We are so far advanced in every way…we have robots that clean for us, phones/electronics that basically run our lives for us, and the ability to connect socially with people all over the world, from the comfort of our homes! These are exciting times! Times where the gospel of Jesus Christ can be spread throughout the world in an unprecedented way. In a way that has never been seen before!
Along with the good, we also experience darkness and evil like never before. It’s easy to live scared or hide from the world around us but God has called us to be bold and courageous in him! He has called us to shine his light to the world! We have a hope and promise in him that allows us to live in victory! No matter how “bad” this world becomes, it is our job to answer the call to SHINE bright!
So how do we shine for him? First we must make a choice to follow him and walk in his ways! When we do this, when we live in him, and he in us, we are destined to live in HIS light with the promise of everlasting life!
John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
The Bible says in John 1:5 that “THE light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” Darkness CANNOT overcome light, friends! Our promise and a hope in Jesus Christ cannot be overcome! He died on a cross to save us all from our sins. He saved us from a grave destined for darkness. He pulled us out of a pit and set us on a path to great victory in HIM!
God has called us to shine our lights, HIS light, and what a beautiful time in history to answer this call! Shine bright friends!
Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven!
