Hey lovely friends! I hope you’ve had a great week! Is anyone else over the moon excited that it’s finally FRIDAY?! I am so ready for the weekend and can’t wait to sit by the fireplace with a yummy cup of coffee, favorite blanket, and read a story to my little doll or simply watch her play. I find so much joy in these simple yet very special moments and plan to create some starting tonight! 🙂
All week the word FAITH has been on my heart and mind! I haven’t been able to shake this feeling that God wanted me to dig deeper in to this simple yet profound word. Most of us have heard, read, or even memorized Hebrews 11:1 which says “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” We hear it, we quote it, and we “believe” it..but are we living it? I asked myself this question this week and I encourage you to do the same, no matter what situation you are facing, no matter the road you’re traveling, FAITH will take you where you need to go but you must truly be living out FAITH the way God intended. In 2 Corinthians 5:7 it says, or it instructs us to live by FAITH and not by site. We may not see what God is doing in our situations, we may not understand the journey or the road we are traveling and that’s OK! We don’t have to understand it. We don’t have to see it to know and to TRUST that HE is working. We just have to believe with a mustard seed of FAITH that HE IS WORKING!
The definition of FAITH is “complete trust or confidence in someone or something”. We can put our trust in doctors, lawyers, counselors (I love mine), pastors, church, family, friends, etc. and the results we get will be nothing less than humanly or scientific instruction – in some cases directed and influenced by God. BUT if we put our COMPLETE trust AND confidence in our Heavenly Father, we can rest assured we are going to see things work for our good like NEVER before! Now don’t take this the wrong way, I believe we should have a community of people and leaders that we lean on and rely on for advice, encouragement, direction, etc. BUT our final source of all things we need should be GOD, the one who died for us. The one who loves us more than anyone else. The one who has already seen us through so much. The one who has already made a way when there seemed to be no way.
So I encourage you today – the next time you feel down, defeated, struggling to believe in this beautiful plan and journey God has created for you, read his word. Dig deeper, seek understanding and pray for strength. Pray for faith to reenter your situation. Ask God to show you how to trust him through it all. Ask him to lead you and show you the steps to take. And find those people, your tribe, that encourage and lift you up!
If you are facing a situation where you’ve been struggling to find FAITH or hope, I would love to pray with or for you, I would love to connect with you! Leave a comment, email, or message me through social media!
I love you all and hope you have an amazing week! ♥
